Sleepwear
Great womens pajamas
Just like your bed is the most comfortable place in your house, your pajamas should be the most comfortable clothes in your wardrobe. Women's pajamas are available in many different styles and fabrics, so it's up to you to hunt down a set to cozy up in.
Sleepwear for Women
Sexy lingerie is one option for the bedroom, but when it comes to getting a good sleep, most women avoid the straps, lace, bangles and other accoutrements of this type of sleepwear and opt for soft, snug PJs that allow them to sleep comfortably.
If you live in an area with a changing climate, or do some travelling to places with different temperatures, you need to get different kinds of pajamas. Just like you buy a thicker coat for the winter, snuggle up in some warm flannel pajamas during the winter months. Long-sleeved and full-pant jammies will ensure that you are toasty warm – you can even choose women's sleepwear with enclosed feet or hoods for extra warmth (and to avoid "cold feet" syndrome). If you prefer to sleep with extra blankets over light-weight pajamas, a cozy housecoat will make it easier to get out of bed on chilly mornings.
In the sweltering summer heat, don a pair of PJs with shorts for bottoms and a t-shirt or tank top. The best materials for warm-weather pajamas are silk and cotton. Silk feels cool to the touch, and cotton is very breathable, which means your sweat will be able to evaporate instead of staying next to your skin and making you feel clammy.
Changing up your pajamas to suit the temperature is also environmentally friendly, since you won't be adjusting your thermostat as much in order to stay comfortable.
Pajama Sizes
Pajamas come in all sizes. They are usually sized in small, medium and large rather than by size number. Small corresponds to sizes 4 to 6, medium is sizes 8 to 10 and large and extra large are sizes 12 to 14. Plus size sleepwear encompasses sizes larger than 14. If you aren't sure about the best size for you, the safest thing to do is to go a size bigger. Pajamas are more comfortable a bit loose than a bit tight, and many fabrics such as flannel and cotton shrink in the washer and dryer.
