Slippers
Slip something cozy on your feet
Nothing feels better on tired feet than a comfy pair of slippers at the end of a long day. Slippers keep your feet warm, provide extra cushioning while walking around the house, and can provide better grip than socks on slippery floors. With the selection of slippers available today, it’s easy to find a style that suits your feet and your budget.
Styles of Women’s Slippers
Slippers come in many different styles. Some, like mules or flip-flop style slippers, fit loosely on the feet and are easy to slip on and off (probably the reason we call them “slippers”). Mules are probably what most of us think of when we conjure up an image of a comfortable slipper. They usually have a padded sole made of a tougher material, such as rubber, leather or plastic, and a padded upper to cover most of the foot. They may include real or imitation sheepskin. These wool slippers are not only ultra comfortable to slip on, they are also some of the warmest slippers available!
If the slip-ons tend to slip off a little too frequently, bootie slippers may better suit your needs. While these slippers take a little more effort to put on, they fit snugly on your foot and ankle, and won’t come off unless you want them off. Real or imitation fur trim is often a luxurious way to make these slippers the ultimate in comfort.
One way to get exceptional foot comfort without breaking the bank is to buy fleece slippers. Fleece, which is made from polyester, is a cheap yet warm and ultra-soft material. Some fleece is made from recycled water bottles, and so has a reduced impact on the environment.
The Dressed-Up Slipper
If you thought that the slipper was out of the picture when it comes to sexy bedroom lingerie, think again! Some companies offer high-heeled mules in colors like black and red with fluffy feather trim that would go perfectly with that new baby doll negligee or corset and panty set. They look great, and are way more comfortable than the stilettos you might consider wearing instead.
